We are currently raising funds for the legal challenge to the petition ordinance by the City of Salina. The contributions will only be used for that purpose – to pay legal fees. We will not have administrative or other expenses. An accounting of these contributions and expenditures will be reported to the Saline County Clerk in accordance with State law. Additionally, we will post an accounting of the contributions and expenditures on this site. If you do not want your contributions to be made public on this site, please add a note with your contribution that you wish to remain anonymous and we will not publish your name here (we will still show the amount), but we will still have to include your name on the report to the Saline County clerk.

View the accounting of the legal fund here.

We need to raise at least $5,000 at this time. If the ruling is appealed or if there are complications, it could be more.

Note: Your contribution is not tax deductible.

There is no guarantee that hiring an attorney will result in the desired outcome on the petition ordinance. Please understand that you are contributing to the expense of hiring an attorney to respond to the city’s legal challenge and we may still lose.

Check out the Petition page to see what the petition ordinance is about and the actions that have been filed in district court.
